I don't know why... but I think the butterfly might be bad.

Reply Midways, July 21st, 2013, 12:23 pm

Aww I feel a bit sorry for the idea..

Reply chikao, July 21st, 2013, 1:31 pm

What is the moth? Expectations?

Reply Galior (Guest), July 21st, 2013, 3:05 pm

I had totally forgotten this butterfly :o
Hum... I can't say I'm really glad to see him again...

Reply CrystalCircle, July 21st, 2013, 3:31 pm

I don't like how everything's gone black and white now...eerie. And I have a feeling that butterfly is somehow trying to save her from something. "This is not his journey" These are not his decisions"

Almost every culture considers the butterfly or moth to symbolize death.

I'm not saying that that is what it means here.

However, considering, the use of dreamlike symbolism and common themes, it's entirely possible that the comic could be interpreted as such.

So remembering is different...from the other children RGB's brought in? Hmm.

Of course, now I'm just thinking 'constants and variables...'

Reply Kippie (Guest), July 26th, 2013, 11:12 am

@Ilyana: the moth told the kid to be wise earlier on. the kid replied that he knew. But he doesn't know /how/ to be wise... He remembered the moth telling him to be wise.

I think the moth is more of a representation of Conscience.

Reply Ilyana (Guest), July 27th, 2013, 11:46 am

@Kippie: Yep. I'm just wondering how meaningful the 'that is different' is.

The moth might be related to her conscience, though. Hm.

That's too bad, you can't make sense out of nonsense. And mathematics only allows valid arguments even if they are incorrect.

Reply AceofSpades, July 29th, 2013, 10:17 am

@chikao: considering it's emphasis on "being wise", my first guess is that it represents wisdom .-. Could be that, expectations, common sense, or (as opposed to the little white lies) maybe even symbolizes truth.

@chikao: he was in the beginning as well, when they just woke up from the first night. He says they'll meet again, here it is. I suspect more is to come.

Reply souldrain, August 9th, 2013, 1:00 pm

maybe the moth is paranoia

Reply LumeVeri (Guest), October 6th, 2013, 6:12 pm

I've a feeling that the moth/butterfly is conscience and the eyes on the wings symbolize the person witnessing a scenario and deciding what to do. I'll take a guess that hero is feeling guilty for the idea and her conscience just took a form :)

The Butterfly is going to be really important, I can tell.
