Reply RMagic (Guest), February 15th, 2015, 12:41 pm

if it's not Hero or RGB he's foreshadowing, it could also very possibly be Assok.

Or Melody or Juliette.

Or Madras's chair.

Reply Bagels (Guest), February 27th, 2015, 9:46 pm

D: @RMagic: not Madras's chair!!! ;n;

Reply nealywilly (Guest), February 15th, 2015, 1:36 pm

Assok is... I'm thinking Assok is maybe truth.

Truth doesn't have to be big and obvious, but it does eat away at things (like denial - see page 161 comments) and it does endure (or rather it exists despite our perception of or belief in it - i.e. the truth of the earth not being flat has nothing to do with people believing it).

Truth is also thought of as a purely reflective mirror, which ties into Assok repeating things - including in that loud, overbearing "you can't handle the truth" moment a few pages back (although, others have shared that maybe it's simply taking awhile to find its true voice after eating through the sticky stuff for so long).

Just trying to wrap my mind around Assok's role in helping the tree that was blanketed in sticky, valuable, persistent, and armor-making *blank*.

Reply WintreKitty, February 15th, 2015, 1:57 pm

@Modmad: That's okay! I would rather you let your arm heal than end up being out of commission for even longer! Feel better <3.

Reply basia122, February 15th, 2015, 3:32 pm

Children's point-of-view I love how we're being introduced to this new world along with hero, since it reminds me of my childhood and how I would react when introduced to something for the first time. 'Trees' and 'dreams' and 'monsters' might be something that are normal to RGB, but to the audience and Hero its like being introduced into a new world. In the eyes of a child, anything can happen, everything is magical, just like this world, and its only after we grow up and start becoming accustomed to our world that we overlook the small, amazing things that used to fascinate us as children and ignore the obvious problems (like the world slowly dying, and RGB the only one doing anything) as we forget to question the new things happening around us, unlike children.
I don't know if this is a valid observation, but I find this comparison fascinating. :)
And why do I feel like RGB's somewhat alluding to the role Hero has to play in that last sentence? ;M;

the symbolizim... symbolic as it is i just totally forgot about that "ball and chain"

that thing made me laugh when i realized that RGB might think of Hero as a "Ball and Chain" in a more literal scene.

and how he easily drags it along like Hero, i'm just done...

note: i recall some blue roses that bloomed when RGB was monochrome and they disappeared when he passed out like a boss.
and from this new info. about flowers in general. i can't put monochrome down as a /nightmare/ just yet.

RGB's reaction to Hero's saying that's sad. I mean look at his posture, look at how he looks more rigid and his shoulders slouch, that's guilt, he knows something bad is gonna happen and somewhere in the pits of his heart he feels guilt.

Reply JK (Guest), February 22nd, 2015, 12:23 pm

I'm wondering if it's foreshadowing That the hero will die to fulfill her purpose in saving the world?

Reply Andrea (Guest), February 22nd, 2015, 12:33 pm

@JK: shhhhh maybe if we dont think about it it wont come true how could you even consider such a possibility ahahahahahhahahahahaaaaaaa **hysterical laughter gives way to screaming**

Reply thepictogirl (Guest), February 23rd, 2015, 7:44 am

Hold the phone did RGB jus say 'all flowers must die to complete their purpose'?
I'm sencing some forboding about Hero ir maybe RGB himself I'm not sure if I'm okay with this hold on let me hold back my feels--

Reply Guest, February 23rd, 2015, 8:45 am

Oh no... no update :(
Get well soon, Mod!

Have you considered turning this comic in a Kickstarter project? If successful, you could hire some helpers like a colorist or a inker... and have your masterpiece ready for printing sooner!

Reply Toby (Guest), February 23rd, 2015, 4:55 pm

Noticed Something As Valentine's has just passed, and the roses tossed, I noticed that the older flowers get the more their petals fade before the petals drop. look at RGB's clothes.

Now, there is another thing that might state that Hero is the one who will die. The patchwork doll guy, warned of danger and I believe death or something of the sort? RGB responded, but the patchwork doll said "I wasn't talking to you" which means HE knows that Hero will probably have something bad happen to her.

Reply Guest, February 26th, 2015, 8:03 pm

@Toby: Toby said "you're going to die you know." RGB responded that he wasn't going to, but then Toby said "I wasn't talking to you" as he and Hero were walking out of hearing range.

Reply kawaiipotatoes (Guest), February 25th, 2015, 9:48 pm

tv show I would pay a hell of a lot in a Kickstarter or anything else to get this turned into a show. It's amazing and many more people deserve to see it

Reply SCOTIE (Guest), February 26th, 2015, 9:32 pm

I hope that instead of dying Hero instead pulls a Madoka and becomes hope or love or something to save the world

Reply Kage (Guest), March 20th, 2015, 5:47 pm

@SCOTIE: Yeah, me too. Although I cried like a baby at the end of Madoka Magica, so that might actually make me even sadder.

Reply Riot (Guest), February 27th, 2015, 12:20 pm

RGB might be a flower When RGB was dreaming, we were told that he had already died.
So maybe, he can now fulfill his purpose of being the one to find the "hero" of their world. Maybe he knows that this is his purpose whitc is why he keeps trying despite the many failed attempts, and gets s fustrated all the time. He is afraid if not fulfilling his purpose.
Maybe that's why the the butterfly was all: "he needs a Hero" n' stuff.

At least that's the theory I'm choosing to go with XD I don't wan't either of them dying D:

Reply Kage (Guest), March 20th, 2015, 5:45 pm

I love this comic to pieces. And oh god, I hope this isn't foreshadowing. ;n; I don't want Hero or RGB to die either. If they do, then I'll probably end up crying all over my computer because of a comic... again.

Reply Epiphania (Guest), March 22nd, 2015, 10:12 am

@Kage: Pretty sure hero will die before the end, saddly. She has lost everything already, and as you point out, I think this is foreshadowing going on :p

Reply Kage (Guest), March 22nd, 2015, 11:30 am

@Epiphania: I know, right? I hate getting attached to characters, especially at times like these.

Reply Epiphania (Guest), March 25th, 2015, 2:24 pm

@Kage: Well, at the same time, it's tpoh we're talking about. I have yet no clue of how this will all end ^^"

Reply empyrean01, March 22nd, 2015, 8:41 pm

Reply Guest, June 13th, 2015, 10:20 am

Wait, but dreams in the comic are potrayed as flowers of varying colors, aren't they? So maybe 'All dreams eventually die' is kind of the symbolism? Or all 'hope will die'?
