@Artic: Finally, some protective armor

Reply eldritchdraaks (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 5:04 am

Been following this comic since Beat, and now I know the Hero is a girl. Well, I'm assuming because of the tutu, even though guys can wear them too.

Reply Weather (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 5:15 am

@eldritchdraaks: Wasn't all the time, someone used "she" when reffered to hero, a dead giveaway?

Reply Icy (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 2:02 pm

@eldritchdraaks: Actually, the most recent example of being called a girl was the page before this one. RGB referred to Hero as "she".

Reply ThisCat (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 5:29 am

Oh no, poor baby!

Reply Stefanyeah (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 7:10 am

Oh Hero, I feel you. Stupid dresses instead of proper badass armour and then Cell also destroys your sword dreams. *sits-next-to-Hero-in-sulking-corner*

Reply Monochromegoggles, March 20th, 2016, 8:05 am

Hahahah, oh man, I was expecting something like this in regards to what the armor actually was going to be, but I did NOT expect Hero's reaction to it. Poor girl is going to have to learn that most heros are not the sort from epic tales of Knights and castles. They come in all shapes and forms, and some are never even known or acknowledged for their deeds.

Really though, Cell is right. I didn't really stop and consider what sort of things that would be considered 'armor' in that world would be. But, when you stop to think about it, how does one find a way to fight creatures that embody raw emotion or concepts? Not even the most powerful suit of plate mail in the world can save someone from incorporeal things like emotions or thoughts, even if they are technically tangible in this world, their effects are the same.

Still, Hero needs a sit down and a talk, in a more 'kindly', less blunt manner. Perhaps a cup of coco too. Coco is probably way better than a sword. XD

I'm thinking magical girl attire.

Reply Guest, April 6th, 2016, 3:20 pm

@Yang Koete: no kyubeys, please. that's all i ask for this comic.

Reply 92mechas (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 11:10 am

1) I'm pretty sure hero doesn't know how griefs and fears work
2) I feel your pain I know how it is you want some awesome armour but you get a dress

Reply CrystalCircle, March 20th, 2016, 11:27 am

*Sulks dramatically* Poor Hero

Reply VintageCandyShop, March 20th, 2016, 11:53 am

HahA Oh noo something tells me Hero isn't a dress and frilly skirts kinda girl. Can't you find her a big jacket made with love or something? It could be a armoured jacket pfft.

Reply Someone (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 11:53 am

Wonder what would happen if one tried wrapping themselves in censor (or whatever that white stuff that used to cover the tree is) like a mummy (for protection)? See if the fear/doubt/grief/other negative emotions could get through it. (How would the Hero be affected by it long-term, though?)

RGB spun it into a cord, so it might work... But judging the Hero's comment on the armful of the stuff being heavy, and it being used as a ball and chain, the censor mummy wouldn't be going anywhere fast.

As for weapons, the heads of fears seemed to work just fine, if one could get some.

Reply Janina (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 1:46 pm

@Someone: Armor made of censor stuff might work tbh, but considering Hero's tongue got all numb when she chewed on it my personal guess is that while being highly effective as protection against fears and doubts it would make its owner very apathetic regarding everything. Who knows, it might even nullify (and thus kinda erase?) their personality if worn over a longer period of time

Reply Someone (Guest), March 20th, 2016, 2:48 pm

@Janina: What would happen if there was a layer of protection (cloth, metal, etc) between the person and censor? When Hero chewed on it, it was in direct contact with her flesh.

(As in wearing censor cords over the protection.)

Also, didn't RGB say that he isn't affected by the censor because of "special privileges" he had?
